  1. Fidela, another part-time stylist at Creative Lines, greets her new client, Cassandra Martin. Cassandra shows Fidela a picture of her desired hairstyle. Cassandra knows the style, the Jennifer Aniston look. Fidela assesses Cassandra’s hair and notices that it is dry and wavy. She warns Cassandra that the outcome may not be the same as Jennifer Aniston and proceeds with the cut. Fortunately, Cassandra is more than satisfied with the cut and is happy to provide Fidela with the information she needs to create a client profile. The caller is Lacy Atkins. Lacy is extremely happy with the permanent Gena, a part-time stylist, gave her last week. She is calling to thank Gena for a job well done.   3. Creative Lines is a small salon that offers hair, nail, waxing, facial and massage services. It does not have a receptionist to greet customers, answer the telephone, or handle appointments. Thus, the four stylists and manicurist that work at Creative Lines share the responsibility. Usually, the least occupied person will play the role of receptionist when it is needed. Joel, a veteran stylist and the most available at the time, answers the telephone. Maya Zumba, a busy professional woman, is calling for an appointment. Maya happens to be Joel’s established client and wants her hair colored. She explains to Joel that October 7, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. is the only day and time she is available. Joel is able to accommodate her but wants her current home telephone number, in order to confirm the appointment on a later date. Maya’s telephone number is 546-9870. Please help Joel schedule a 2.5-hour appointment for Maya. After Joel hangs up the telephone, he decides to check the home telephone number in Maya’s profile. He wants to make sure that the number coincides with the telephone number she just gave him. Please help Joel verify that the home telephone number in her profile is correct and, if necessary, change it. Unfortunately, a week later, Maya realizes that she will be out of town on October 7. Consequently, she calls Joel to cancel the appointment. Maya decides not to reschedule at this time. Please help Joel to cancel the appointment.
