Calmness, serenity, relax…. Moving into Unit 6. We begin Unit 6, which starts Wednesday, December 16 and runs through December 22. We will start Unit 7 on December 23 and will run through January 5th.

  2. Moving into Unit 6 • We begin Unit 6, which starts Wednesday, December 16 and runs through December 22. • We will start Unit 7 on December 23 and will run through January 5th. • Of course we have break between December 24 through January 5th. Classes resume January 5th.

  3. Unit 6 Information

  4. Unit 6 • This week we will explore contracts. You have some reading assignments from both of your texts (one in Doc Sharing). You will do some Internet research about contracts and formatting, and we will discuss this in seminar.

  5. You do not have any assignments from unit 6, contracts, but you do have an assignment for unit 7, Wills. You should get started on that right away so you can enjoy your break! 

  6. Wills • For this written assignment, you will transcribe a last will and testament and affadavit of witnesses. Refer to page 142 of the Legal Transcription textbook and complete exercises 1-8. • Be sure to format the documents properly following the transcription rules found on pages 140-141. • If you would like to practice your dictation skills, you may also complete this assignment by listening to the dictation orally.

  7. Wills • The will that you will transcribe is from the state of Texas.
