  2. Name of the project “Financial aid for medicines for retirees on low income“ Objective = to give financial aid for medicines to retirees on minimum income. Target= retirees in Gherla who have an monthly income not exceeding 350 lei = 81 Euro Selection criteria= as shown below, a score will be established based on documents :ID, pension coupon, medical record, disability certificate, death certificate for a deceased spouse, etc.) The list can be up-dated if the beneficiaries change

Establishing the aid=the 32members of the Rotary Club Gherla will start the project donating 50 leimonthly 32 x50 = 1600 lei • Number of beneficiaries = 1600 lei : 10 lei per retiree= • 160 retirees( at present there are 267 pensioners on a 350 lei monthly pension) • Methodology and procedures • 1 Making the project known • 2 Selecting the retirees according to the above criteria • 3 Printing the vouchers ( 10 lei -1 voucher) • 4 Contacting CAS CLUJ,Pharmacies and others who would like to join the project • 5 Making known the time and place where the vouchers will be distributed • By agreement with the pharmacies, at the beginning of each month the discounts are given for the vouchers distributed in the previous month. • The voucher stamped by the pharmacy and the receipt are given to Rotary Club Gherla , which will then make the payment to the pharmacies.

The span of the project: permanent ( until the standard of living is normal in Romania ?????? ) Motivation: Helping 160 retiree families Institutions involved: RotaryClub Gherla , Local pharmacies , Family doctors, CAS Cluj (Krankenkasse) Gherla Municipality, Local Media: Faclia , Somes TV, Digi TV , UPC The project can be extended to all the 297 retirees if the financial resources increase or the aid can be increased and extended to other Clubs This simple, effective and achievable project is unique in the 2241 District

  5. Example : Voucher offered by BoehringerIngelheim, Germany to pensioners on pensions under 700 lei who in this way can have a 10% discount in addition to the 90% paid by CNAS , for MICARDIS medicines, paid by the producer company

  6. With only 50 lei , each of us can bring joy to 5 pensioners
