What Does Risk Management Do? • Review Certificate of Insurance. • Verify Permit & Liability Agreements are signed by the same person. • Check proposed activity for Regulation restrictions.
Insurance Requirements • Referenced in Regulation 3613, Section D. Insurance Coverage on Page 3. Also shown on Liability Agreement. The group, agency, or organization (group) shall be responsible for maintaining insurance coverage in force for the life of the agreement. The insurance company(ies) must be licensed to write such insurance in the state of Nevada. The coverage required will be, at a minimum, General Liability Insurance including bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage with limits of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence. Clark County School District, with the address of the Risk Management Department, must be named on the policy as an additional insured. The group, agency, or organization (group) must provide the principal with certificate(s) of insurance, verifying coverage, at the time of application. The insurance carrier shall give the District a thirty- (30) day written advance notice of any termination, expiration, and any and all changes in coverage. Deductible and self-insurance retention shall be declared in the certificate(s) of insurance. The liability insurance may be provided under primary policies or by a combination of primary and excess policies. The Risk Management Department will be the final authority in determining if insurance coverage is adequate. If the expected attendance at an event exceeds 300 people, the local fire department must be added as an additional insured.

Can The Requestor Use CCSD Facilities for Anything? • No Private Parties • No gambling • No alcohol, drugs, or smoking • No unlawful activities • No sub-renting • No use as dormitory
What Areas are Off-limits? • Kitchen unless Food Service Director approves • Utility areas (mechanical, custodial, maintenance) • Roofs • Teacher lounges & workrooms • Swimming pools (district-owned)
What Activities Are Prohibited? • Rock/Rap Concerts • Circuses • Animal shows / traveling shows • Hot air balloons • Sky diving • Aircraft • Inflatables • Dunk tanks • Any activity Risk Management considers to jeopardize health & safety This includes PTA organized events!
