  2. Info aboutthe School • The school was established in 1876, and are located in the centre of Oslo. • Number of students: approx. 500 (2011-2012). • Closecooperationwith theindustry.

  3. Students • Must have a vocational certificate. • Have work experience from the building industry. • Have a wish for a further education. • Age 21-50 year .

  4. Short historyofthe BIM education • The educationwasstarted up in 2008. • The first classwas for students with backgrounds in building trades. • In 2010 westarted up a secondclass for peoplewithbackgroundin HVAC and electrical trades. • The BIM education has become very popular, last year we had 110 applicants for the 40 available places.

  5. Two Classes Our school offers two training programs in BIM, each class consists of twenty students: • BIM-class construction for students with backgrounds in building trades. • BIM-class installation for students with a background in HVAC-subjects, or electrical-subjects.

  6. Two Classes • The classes work closely together throughout the school year. Exchange of IFC files and coordination between disciplines are important parts of the education. BIM-installation BIM-construction Complete BIM

  15. Network and forum • Students have formed a network called BIMfag, the network has monthly meetings where people can meet and share experiences and make contacts. The network keeps former students in touch and professionally updated. www.bimfag.no
