Who is Paul Rodriguez? • Paul Rodriguez is a famous actor and stand-up comedian who has been making millions of people laugh in Spanish and English for 3 decades. • Some of his jokes are about Hispanic culture. • He has a son, Paul Rodriguez J.R., who is very famous for his profession in skateboarding.

  3. Paul Rodriguez growing up • He was born on January 19, 1955 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. • He was the son of migrant farm laborers.  • Paul and his family migrated to the east of Los Angeles, California where he was raised. • In L.A. he attended Theodore Roosevelt High School. • He served in the Air Force.

  4. Career • He decided that he wanted to pursue his career in comedy when he started working as a doorman at The Comedy Store, a place in L.A. where stand-up comedians get to entertain people with their humor. • Paul got his break he started to open for various concerts.

  5. Education • He went to high school at Theodore Roosevelt High School. • After serving in the military he was eligible to use the G.I. bill which paid for his college. • While he was there he had the desire to be a lawyer but instead found a great interest in comedy.

  6. Accomplishments • In 2004 he was ranked #74 on the top 100 greatest stand-ups of all time by Comedy Central. • In 1996 he won the NCLR Bravo Award; Outstanding Performance by a Male on a show called the Latino Laugh Festival.

  7. Professions • He is an actor and stars in many comedy shows and movies. • He also does many voice-overs for animated movies.

  8. Legacy • Paul Rodriguez has made millions of people laugh throughout the world and will continue to do so as long as he lives. • He is not only a comedian but also a caring person who has donated to many charities in need.
