  1. The Valley of the Sun Newsletter Oct. 22, 2012 This Week’s Activities Welcome Back! It is great to be back, I hope everyone had a fabulous fall break, I certainly did. It was wonderful to see everyone at conferences! The school and home partnership is important fora successful school experience for your child. This week we will be working on the letter F. We will be making a flower and practicing the sound it makes. We will also be working on matching numbers and cutting. We will not be celebrating Halloween in the classroom. Costumes are not allowed at school. However, we will sing a pumpkin song, and read a book that talks about Halloween. Some of the Apps the students enjoy in the classroom are Fireworks and Numbers. Give them a try at home too. If you know of an educational app that your child loves please let me know. Speech and OT are on Monday, PT and Library are Thursday This week we are reading : The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen Little Goblins Ten by Pamela Jane Have a wonderful week . Nov. 22 & 23rd Thanksgiving- No School.
