Selecting and Preparing Rooms • Type and size of room • Prefer single-level rooms up to 30 examinees; no more than 100 • Avoid multi-level seating • Determine necessary spacing before test day • Distractions • An uninterrupted period is required for testing • Post signs outside the room about testing • If possible, no audible signals or announcements
Selecting and Preparing Rooms • Temperature, lighting, and ventilation • Room setup and seating arrangements • Face the same direction • At least three feet of space between examinees • Sufficient aisle space needed • No lapboards
Testing Staff Requirements • Test Supervisor • Responsible for all assessment activities • Maintains continuity and administrative uniformity • Back-up Test Supervisor • Assists Test Supervisor with all assessment activities • Serves as Test Supervisor on test day if the Test Supervisor is unable to serve • Room Supervisor • One room supervisor must be present in each room • Same person the entire session
Testing Staff Requirements • Test Supervisor and Back-up Test Supervisor • Each individual’s name must be on file with ACT • Responsible for selecting and training staff to assist during testing (e.g., room supervisors and proctors) • Complete the Test Site Staff and WorkKeys Manual Verification form at: • www.act.org/workkeys-private/reference
Testing Staff Requirements • Proctor • Assist room supervisor • Responsibilities include: • Admit and seat examinees • Monitor examinees • Report “irregularities” to room supervisor • Accompany examinees to the restroom
Testing Staff Requirements • Proctor Staffing Requirements • A minimum number of proctors needed (in addition to the room supervisor) • A proctor may be used if there are 25 or fewer examinees • Minimum requirements: • 1-25 examinees: room supervisor • 26-50 examinees: room supervisor and 1 proctor • 51-75 examinees: room supervisor and 2 proctors
Avoiding Conflicts of Interest • Staff • Must not be anyone intending to take WorkKeys tests within the next 12 months • Relatives Testing • A staff member may serve as a room supervisor or proctor, provided that the relative is not testing in that room. • Relatives and wards include children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, in-laws, spouses, and persons under your guardianship. • WorkKeys Test Preparation

Registering an Examinee • There are three ways to register for a WorkKeys assessment • Self-registration • Individual registration • Batch load registration • This demo - Individual
Launching an Interrupted Assessment • Sometimes a test is interrupted • If a test is interrupted, you have 1 hour to launch it again • If not, the examinee will need to start over with a new test
Generating an Instant Score Report • After testing, you can print an Instant Score Report • You may give the printout to the examinee before he or she leaves or keep it until all score reports are available
