ASSIST ENTREPRENEURS/BUSINESS • Entrepreneur Support –Assisted 35 business clients with business plans, funding applications, marketing and info. Four businesses received funding support. Value: ~ $70,000 & 3-4 jobs supported • Workshops–10 training seminars including PARO Circle, Finding the Money, Mining & Funder’s Forum, BIA Business Luncheon, Algoma Power and Youth Training Sessions • ~90people attended • Est. Value: $20,000

YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM MINE YOUR OWN BUSINESS • Provincial Grant of $29,000 of $58,000 project – 46 wks • Youth 15-29 exposed to businesses that serve mining sector • Website, How-To Guides, Workshops on how to start a business mainly held at High Schools in Sept/Feb • Dreamers and Doers Business Plan Challenge - $2,000 • Sponsored by Prodigy, Recognized by EDAC Award • Two youth business plans approved for NOHFC funding! 42 Doer and 16 Dreamer Entries

MINING MATTERS COMPLETED - April 15 & 16, 2013 • Provided youth & teachers with resources and training on Earth Science & Mining Basics – English & French • Informed youth and residents about career opportunities in mining at open house (+50 attended) • Dr. Dodds from Augustine Guest Speaker • Cost - $10,000 (half normal price) • Funds Raised - $6,500 • Evaluations Very Positive

2013 STATISTICS • Increase in web traffic – 30% over 2012 (2 websites) • 66% increase in calls (more programs) • Social Media– Facebook (460611), Twitter (269351), Linked-In (235346) = Total 964 1308(36%) • Entrepreneurial/business support inquiries up • Serious investor inquiries low but increase in out-of-town persons looking to relocate • E-mail inquiries always increasing!
