  1. Geometry Warm Ups Week of February 4-8

  2. DFA Review • For the next two weeks, our Warm Ups will be focused on preparing you for the DFA. • Please make sure you understand these concepts. • There will be a quiz on Friday.

  3. Monday #1 • What is the measure of ? With an isosceles triangle, the base angles are congruent. The sum of the angles inside is 180, so this should be easy to figure out…the answer is 52.

  4. Monday #2 • What is the measure of ? A linear pair adds to 180 so the missing angle is 70 degrees.

  5. Monday #3 • What is the measure of ? Angle BDA is the same as A because the triangle is isosceles. Angle ABD will be 120 and that makes angle CBD 60 degrees. Angle C would also be 60 because that triangle is also isosceles (look at it upside down), so the angle the question asks for is also 60 degrees.

  6. Tuesday #1 • What is the longest side of ΔABC? The missing angle is 63 degrees. The longest side of a triangle is opposite the largest angle so, the longest side here is segment AB.

  7. Tuesday #2 • What is the longest side of ΔABC? The missing angle near B is 50 degrees, so angle A is now 63. Just like the last one, the longest side is opposite the largest angle inside the triangle so the answer is segment AB.

  8. Tuesday #3 • What is the longest side of ΔWXZ? Find all of the missing angles first, then you can figure out the longest side. You should get segment WX.

  9. Wednesday/Thursday #1 • What is the measure of ?

  10. Wednesday/Thursday #2 • Find the measures of the exterior angles of ΔABC.

  11. Wednesday/Thursday #3 • Find all the exterior angles of this triangle.

  12. Wednesday/Thursday #4 • What is the measure of ?

  13. Wednesday/Thursday #5 • What is the measure of ?

  14. Friday – Quiz #1 • What is the measure of ?
