  11. Lab Assignments • Assignment files can be downloaded from Blackboard • Due in 2 parts • Pre-Lab Due Thursday @ 10:00 am before lab • Lab due Saturday @ 10:00 p.m. • Completed Assignments must be uploaded to the appropriate Blackboard folder • separate folder for pre-lab and lab for each week

  19. Why do we need management techniques? • Would we have an international credit card system? • Would we be able to use cell phone internationally? • How do they charge and track your calls? Where is that info stored? • How does NTTA manage toll-tag charges and fines?

  20. Why do we need management techniques? • To quickly search for information • To analyze data quickly • Forecasting • Prediction • Mine for information that we didn’t even know we didn’t know. • Perform calculations on massive data sets very quickly
