Rakesh Rajdev brings smiles to thousands of underprivileged children

RAKESH RAJDEV BRINGS SMILES TO THOUSANDS OF UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN Before the Coronavirus pandemic, Rakesh Rajdev and Rupal Rakesh Rajdev had organized events for underprivileged girls during Navratri, consisting of dinner, competitions, and gifts. This year, they went a step further and took 5000-7000 lower-class children to the amusement park “Fun World” in Rajkot, Gujarat on a Sunday. There, the kids were given free access to all the rides and plenty of scrumptious snacks to fuel their fun-filled day out such as ice cream, popcorn, and lunch. In memory of Late Vimlaben (mother of Sh. Rakesh Rajdev), they also distributed school bags, lunch boxes, and water bottles. Besides the DJ, many girls participated in the Garba dance, which is called Arvachin Garba, a new or modern version of Garba. This folk dance is usually performed during the nine nights of Navratri. The word "Garba" is derived from the Sanskrit word "garbha", which means “womb".

2. "Arvachin Garba" refers to all the folk songs written after poet Shri Dayaram Ji, and ancient Garba refers to the songs written before him. A competition was also held for "the best traditionally dressed girl", "the best Garbi dancer", and "the best rangoli maker". At the end of the day, all children were offered Prasadi, which is sanctified food. As part of their mission to provide for underprivileged young girls in their community, Sh. Rakesh Rajdev and Mrs. Rupal Rakesh Rajdev have worked tirelessly.
