WELCOME!! Welcome. Please come in and sit in your seat. Then wait for further instructions. On your Catalyst sheet you should be on Tuesday, Jan. 20th
CATALYST 5 MINUTES Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. H2 + Cl2 > HCl NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O
CATALYST 4 MINUTES • Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. • H2 + Cl2 > HCl • NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

AGENDA • Catalyst • Types of Chemical reactions videos • Take Spring Pre-Assessment
ANNOUCEMENTS • There is a quiz on Friday • If your name is on the board, you may not participate in labs.
TODAY’S OBJECTIVE • You’ll identify the different types of chemical reactions.
Video links • 1st one: Just sit back and enjoy the show. • Flintstones: 4 types of reactions 3 minutes • Do you want to see that one again so you understand the concept? • 2nd one: Record information on your worksheet. Steve Splangler: 5 types of reactions ( 7 minutes)
Assessment Procedure • For question 8, students will start at the beginning of the classroom in fours and make their way to the back four stations. Once a student is done, the next person to his/her right will go next. • Work on word-search when done.
