This paper presents a novel method for efficiently computing eigenvalues of damped systems, with a focus on nonproportional damping scenarios. It introduces a complex eigenvalue algorithm based on Chen's approach and Gleyse's theorem to verify missed eigenpairs. Various numerical examples are discussed to illustrate the efficacy of the proposed method.
