  2. King Hezekiah • 701 B.C. – Assyrian army is the world power. 2 Chronicles Chapter 32; 2 Kings Chapters 18,19; Isaiah Chapters 36,37

  3. King Hezekiah This six-sided hexagonal clay prism, commonly known as the Taylor Prism, was discovered among the ruins of Nineveh, the ancient capital of the Assyrian Empire. It contains the Annals of Sennacherib himself, the Assyrian king who had besieged Jerusalem in 701 BC during the reign of king Hezekiah. On the prism Sennacherib boasts that he shut up "Hezekiah the Judahite" within Jerusalem his own royal city "like a caged bird." This prism is among the three accounts discovered so far which have been left by the Assyrian monarch of his campaign against Israel and Judah. Sennacherib sent spokesman to Jerusalem – 2 Chronicles 32:9-19

  5. Ancient Assyrian Argument of Religious Equality Our Rights as Americans Come From God, not from Government Equality in the eyes of the Law is a Good Thing Equality of Blessing exists among those who are In Christ – Galatians 3:26-28 Assyrians not arguing for Either – They argued for Equality of gods!

  6. Ancient Assyrian Argument of Religious Equality Argument to Hezekiah is that His God may not be as good as other gods they have defeated – 2 Chronicles 32:10,11,13-15 Here we have Hezekiah, the “underdog,” trapped. Running low on supplies, not army that can match the Assyrians – looks like disaster!

  7. Ancient Assyrian Argument of Religious Equality But God says, “IT IS UPSET TIME!” 2 Chronicles 32:20,21 Isaiah 37:36 FINAL SCORE: Judah- 185,000, Assyrian Army- 0 Don’t ever believe the true God is just like other gods – He Alone is GOD

  8. Modern Assyrian Argument of Religious Equality Modern society takes pride in being Tolerant & Pluralistic Popular Philosophy accept all beliefs; tolerate everyone (except those who have the truth); don’t exclude anyone (except those who have the truth) Where “politically correct” is more important than truly correct, all beliefs are equally valid, equally valuable, & equally real.”

  9. Arguments of the Modern Assyrians “Your god is no better or different than the gods of world religions.” Acts 17:23 True God has ;proven Himself by Predictive Prophecy – Isaiah 41:21-24 “Your Book is no better or different than other religious writings.” God’s book rises above

  10. Arguments of the Modern Assyrians “Your founder, lord and savior is no different than others.” “Your Jesus is no better than Mohammed or Buddha.” Resurrection of Jesus proves otherwise – Acts 2:32,36 “Your church is no different than all other churches.” Matthew 16:18

  11. Arguments of the Modern Assyrians “Your morality is no different than the morality of others.” “Homosexuality is just as good as being straight.” Gender distinction, sexuality came from God – Matthew 19:4,5 All beliefs & practices are not the same – Matthew 7:21-23

  12. Don’t Let Modern-day Assyrians shake your trust & confidence in God’s way / will Politically Correct Assyrians may think they have the upper hand today, remember the massive upset that took place in Hezekiah’s Time

  13. Another Upset is Planned by God! Acts 17:31 NKJV 31 "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."
