  1. The Drop of HoneyA Farsi Story by David Heathfield Lesson Aims: To understand how to resolve conflicts in a variety of situations Lesson Objectives: Create a role-play examining how to resolve conflict Complete a flow diagram examining how to resolve conflict

  2. Acting out a scenario • With a partner act out a scenario • There are 3 role plays for you to try • For each one, act it out twice • First time: Act it out and ‘be angry’ • Second time: Try and find a solution to the problem

  3. Acting out a scenario • After each scenario discuss the following points: • What did it feel like first time round? • How did you manage to resolve the conflict? • Was it easy or hard?

  4. You will be given a partly completed flow diagram • You have to write in a ‘peaceful act’ for each level of the flow diagram Flow diagram

  5. Questions: • How many people were involved or hurt in the different stages of the conflict? • Where was it easiest to think of a peaceful action? (Near the beginning, or near the end?) 3. Why is it harder to do the right thing – what does it take? Flow diagram
