Carbon: Draft Release Plan Milestones • M1 – Intent to participate – 11/3/16 • M2 – Project Release Plan complete – 12/8/16 • M3 – Feature / Function Freeze: 2/2/17 • M4 – API Freeze: 3/2/17 • M5 – Code Freeze: 3/30/17 • RC0 / RC1 / RC2 / RC3: 4/13/17, 4/20/17, 4/27/17, 5/3/17 • Packetcable Project Release Review – Between 4/27 & 5/3/17 • RC3 – Release Review and final build: 5/4/17 • Formal Carbon Release: 5/11/17
Packetcable Carbon Goals / TODOs • Goals: • fix identified bugs • add enhancements; Comcast/AB list organized/grouped into sensible packages • Maintenance (bug) work • Addressed by Comcast / AB functional changes • Functional Changes • Provided by Comcast / AB • Structural issues • Change to support DataTreeChangeListener • Documentation work • As needed to support new features / functions
Open discussion • Discussion Items – • Packetcable Carbon release • Offset 2 M2 Status – Final Release Plan is due 12/8 • Latest progress on functional changes for Carbon: • Jeff Pedigo is closing in on completion of a change to address Bugzilla items #7108, 7112, & 7114. Hopes to have into Gerrit review process by the end of this week • We identified, Bora, Kasim, and Berkay as potential reviewers for this code. Jeff to pick 2 and add them in Gerrit; Ryan V. to provide committer approval when we get to that point • Jeff expects to work on issue #7109 next. The hope is that work there will provide a pattern that can be reused in the implementations for #7110, & 7111. • Potential parallel work – Kevin is looking for volunteers to work on these areas: • Identify / Generate User Guide changes • Identify / Generate Developer Guide changes • CSIT test improvements; REST APIs for the CMTS Emulator (supports CSIT improvement)

Logistics • Meet every other week – • Remaining meeting date this year: Dec. 15 • Cancelled meeting scheduled for Dec. 29 • 11:00 Mountain Time • Looking to change this starting Jan. 12. Kevin will submit some proposed days/times to the group.
