Criterion A For my project I did Heilongjiang, the northern most province. I chose this province because I thought I would do something out of the ordinary. The area of interaction that I wanted to use was environments because I wanted to learn about the social and political environment of my province.
Criterion A festivals For their festivals, they have many, but I will only explain 1. the harbin ice festival. This festival is a festival to celebrate the ice lantern. In this festival, the people build giant ice castles, and celebrate in them. for my research, I looked at stuff about the food, the art, and the festivals.

Criterion B This is my translation for my 100 word essay. For my project, I am doing Heiliangjong, the northern most provinces. This province is considered to be the most visited province in all of China. There are many tourist traps in this province. For example, there is the Great Wall of China, which stretches across almost all of China. There is also the annual ice festival which is a giant contest to see who can build the bigger ice castle. For food, they eat many odd things. Like braised deer tail, or roasted dog meat. In many ways, this province is like the rest of china. They have the same music and fashion. Like the rest of china, they wear the same cloths as most of the world. They also have a lot of the same styles of art. They have mostly water colors, but the artists also sculpt with clay. There are many ways that it is different, like that the majority of people are nomads, and that they were originally from Russia.
