Themes of Propaganda Posters • Patriotic appeals began to overshadow the theme of communism and the great class struggle • Anti-religious themes disappeared • Attacks on Hitler and his henchman became prevalent
Artists/Authors • The majority of posters were produced by young artists who created a shift towards realism • Examples: Kukryniksky, Toidze, Koretsky, and Ivanov
