What’s Next? • Washington State is transitioning to the use of the National Incident Management • Compliance Assessment Support Tool (NIMSCAST) for compliance reporting • through the state and to the federal government in FFY 2010. • The Washington State Emergency Management Division will authorize Regional • Homeland Security Coordination Districts, counties, tribes and state agencies to • submit compliance reports into NIMSCAST. • The counties, tribes and state agencies (DOH) will then authorize cities and other • organizations within their hierarchical structure to submit compliance reports into • NIMSCAST. • The Washington State Homeland Security Section, the Regional Homeland • Security Coordination Districts, the counties and DOH will have the • ability to view reports that have been submitted within their hierarchical structure. • The Washington State Homeland Security Section and the Regional Homeland • Security Coordination Districts may use the reports that have been submitted into • NIMSCAST to determine compliance when administering Federal funding.
