  6. Step by step process, follow the sequence, it’s a must • The Environment! • To begin with, you can perform the experiment on a single machine, though it won’t be a distributed environment, but it will be very simple

  7. Install multiple instances of SQL Server on your computer • This simple setup will work with Windows XP and Personal Edition of SQL Server, but later experiments won’t.

  8. Installation of two instances of SQL Server • Instance names being PESH and QTA…….

  9. Next step is to register these two instances using Enterprise Manager • How? Here it is

  10. After a couple of default selections

  11. Now on to Replication

  12. First task is to set Distributor

  13. Nothing in the folders yet QTA is also set as Publisher

  14. Next step is to create a publication
