The adventures of the fractions One sunny morning the fraction friends went to the amusement park ,to ride the rollercoaster.
But when they got to the Roller coaster, they saw a sign that said only the fractions that can turn into decimals and, theymust be in simplest form . They didn’t know how to turn into a decimal ,or go into simplest form, but they really wanted to ride.
So they walked around asking anybody That might be able to help them to learn How to turn into simplest form, and turn into decimals.
They ran into somebody who suggested they go to the Great Eights. They went to the fountain and found the Great Eights. The Great Eights led the to the math room.
There they found that it’s easier to turn into a decimal by going into simplest form first . They learned that their denominator must be 10,100 or even 1,000.
So 8/20 divided himself by 2 ,so his denominator will be 10.Then 14/5 multiplied himself by 2, now he’s 18/10. 3/5 liked the idea of multiplying by two, so he turned himself into 6/10.
Now that their denominators are 10,100,or 1,000,they can turn into decimals . They learned that after the decimal the tenths place is first , then the hundredths , and the thousands are last .
Their decimals were 1.8 , .4 , and .6.Then they went back to the rollercoaster, and the person in charge asked them for their decimals ,and this time they new exactly what to do. From the help of the Great Eights they had a fun time on the rollercoaster. THE END
