Background • Started in 1996 with encouragement of patients and friends to deliver excellent eye care to underserved communities. • As a 501(c) 3 Massachusetts corporation – a tax exempt charitable not-for-profit organization – allowing tax credits for donors • Governed by a highly respected and seriously committed Board of Trustees and Officers. How RSI Operates? •       Partners with established eye care institutions and organizations that promote the prevention of blindness, sight restoration and excellence in the delivery of eye care in underserved areas on a long-term basis through education and research •       Provides eye equipment, funding, advice, and expertise to these institutions. •       Supports eye educational endeavours, research, and clinical missions that improve the standards of eye care. Initial Projects The Philippines Where there is an existing organization The Ophthalmological Foundation of the Philippines (OFPHIL) that was addressing our mission – to prevent blindness or restore sight. RESTORING SIGHT INTERNATIONAL,INC Our Mission: That No Person Should Be Needlessly Blind • Current RSI Philippine Projects • Continues to sponsor : • outreach eye missions through its partners • OFPHIL and Asian Eye Institute (AEI) • Gift of Sight Program for cataract • Foreign Sub-specialty Fellowship Support for Ophthalmologists who will serve underserved communities

RESTORING SIGHT INTERNATIONAL,INC Our Mission: That No Person Should Be Needlessly Blind About Our Chairman Dr. Roland Houle Joined RSI in 1998 upon retirement as a volunteer ophthalmologist Became Trustee of OFPHIL Served as RSI’s Chairman since 2000 Earned the name of Mr. RSI for his dedicated service and commitment to our mission Instrumental to the success of Boston Projects Contributed to the enhanced Public Recognition of RSI Continuously solicited eye equipment and funds needed for charity clinics serving the poor.

RESTORING SIGHT INTERNATIONAL,INC Our Mission: That No Person Should Be Needlessly Blind About Hillard Welch • Former Executive Director of MSEPS • Invited by Dr. Houle to join RSI • Has been serving in the Board of Trustee since 2003. • Has provided RSI with invaluable advice and ideas. • With his wisdom, he has made significant contributor to the long-range planning and fundraising goals of RSI • Initiated local Boston Projects with Dr. Houle
