Random Slides From This PowerPoint Show The rest of the crew were ordinary sailors. They mended sails and ropes and saw to any leaks in the ship. They worked in ‘watches’. This meant that half the crew would work and keep watch, while the rest slept or rested. SAMPLE SLIDE
The seamen would have worn clothing that was made of coarse, hardwearing material such as canvas, linen and wool.
