Agricultural Era 8000 B.C. – 1750 A.D. • Most humans lived in small, often migratory groups and fed themselves by foraging, hunting, fishing, or herding(1980). • People were dependent on the land and the seasons of the agricultural world (2008).
Industrial Era 1750 A.D. - 1955 • Reformed life globally • Families were separated to work in towns and factories (2008). • Extended family living together were no longer common. The family structure consisted of father, mother, and children. • Mass production and factories were common.
Information Era 1955 - Present • Most people live outside the nuclear family model (1980). • Flexible hours, casual Fridays, and working from home are all examples of the shifts that occurred in the world of work (2008). • Communication is increased through usage of internet, wireless phones, and internet.
The 4th Wave 2015-? • I predict the 4th wave, biotechnology to begin in 2015. • Biotechnology will create a growth in science and medicine globally. • Biotechnology will create a division between society based on morals.
