What happens though when it occurs in a nonphysical sense? What causes …what areotehr forms of devastation? emotional? social? Familial?
Step 5: Now try to link these “golden lines” coherently. • Devatation…when that words comes to my mind I think about war. War torn buildings. War torn families. I guess it’s relaly about physical devastation. What happens though when it occurs in a nonphysical sense? What causes …what areotehr forms of devastation? emotional? social? Familial? Buildings are destroyed. Families are torn apart. The results, no matter who the victor is, is usually extreme physical devastation. But often in life, in more every day occurrences, simple moments actually can lead to another type of devastation: emotional. This can be just as traumatic as seen in the short story, “The Scarlet Ibis.” Author, James Hurst, illustrates a tale about two brothers…(insert synopsis)…. Eventually, Hurst shows us how pride can lead to devastation through his use of conflict.
