This is the Given Graph… • The three types of equations are: • Factored form • -F(x)=a(x-r1)(x-r2) • Vertex form • -V(x)=a(x-h)2 • Standard form • -S(x)=ax2 +bx+c
How to find factored form • You have to use the roots or zeros to find the factored form • The zeros are (-3,0)&(4,0) • So the equation will be: • -F(x)=a(x+3)(x-4)
How to find the vertex form • You have to use the vertex point to find the vertex form • The vertex is (0.5,-12.25) • So the equation will be: • -a(x-0.5) 2 -12.25
How to find the standard form • Once you find the factored form equation you can easily find the standard form • The factored equation is f(x)=a(x+3)(x-4) • So you will foil the equation: • -s(x)=x2 –x-12
