Religious Beliefs of Islam . By: Matt Appleby. Major Beliefs. There is one God and his name is Allah. The holy bible of Islam is called the Quran. You have to pray five times a day to Allah. Their Holy place (Church) is called a Mosque.

Major Beliefs • There is one God and his name is Allah. • The holy bible of Islam is called the Quran. • You have to pray five times a day to Allah. • Their Holy place (Church) is called a Mosque. • When they pass they either live a future life of glory or hell. • During a certain time during the fall they fast or 2 days this is called Ramadan.
Revolution • Religious groups felt like the Shah was running a corrupt government. • Also the people felt like they where heading back to the old ways of running a Islamic government. • While the government was leading a wealthy lifestyle, when the people were leading poor lives.
Affects of the Revolution • It effected the United States, because they had invaded the U.S. Embassy and held American hostages. • With all the corruptness of the Islamic government it was making the lives of the Islamic people worse, by becoming more poor. • The United States also cut off the 10 billion dollars it gives to them to sustain their necessities.
