  5. Co-operation betweenSingapore Management University& Mexico What students say – Mexican students in SMU • For most, SMU was their first choice for their exchange programme • Impressed with the organisation, structure and efficiency of the institution and of the country • Singapore is more similar to Mexico than what they first thought • Traveled South East Asia a lot • Great cultural / linguistic experience + learning to work in a different environment and work culture • Downsides: very hectic; regimented and fine society • Would definitely recommend SMU and Singapore

Co-operation betweenSingapore Management University& Mexico What students say – SMU students in Mexico (Tech exchange) • For most, Tech was their first choice for their exchange programme • Visa issues, esp for international students (e.g. Indian Nationals) • All learned Spanish before leaving • Satisfied with the campus, the accommodation and the academics • Need to exercise more care and common sense safety-wise • Learned how to be more independent, mature, confident, became stronger; learned a lot about the Mexican and Latin American cultures • Traveled through Mexico and Central America • Would strongly recommend the programme; “best dream ever!”
