  3. 1.J.K Rowling’s biography Ms. J.K Rowling was born on July 31st, 1965 in Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire, England. Her given name at birth was Joanne Kathleen. Ms.Rowling has one sister, Di, who was born 2 years after J K. Her parents were from London. They were eighteen years old when they met on a Train. They got married when they were nineteen. Potter was her neighbour’s surname. She studied in Winterboume School.
