  3. Adaptation • A body part or behavior that helps an animal meet its needs in its environment. • camouflage

  4. Mimicry • An adaptation in which an animal looks very much like another animal. • Moth uses color and pattern • camouflage, a type of mimicry, • to blend in the rain forest floor.

  5. Mimicry – nonpoisonous animals mimic poisonous ones. • Biological mimicry is widespread in nature. Many poisonous or otherwise unpalatable organisms display warning signs, such as black and yellow or black and red stripes, to deter would-be predators. Batesian mimicry to refers to non-poisonous organisms which closely resemble poisonous ones.
