  2. Expectation • My expectations are to expand my skills using technology • To learn new programs to teach my future students • And to learn different kinds of learning theories to teach my students

  3. Technology and Integrating My Ideas for integrating and technology is using technology to teach a learning goal . Like different programs like: Presentation tools power point Projectors Computers in general Internet search engine, yahoo, Bing, Google Concept Mapping

  5. Learning Theory • Today 1-26-12 we learned the 12 different types of learning theories. We got divided into pairs and pick a random number from 1-12 and had to draw a picture of the theory to explain it. • We played a guessing game with our pictures we drew • My group got theory number 5 Brain-Based Learning. The learning theory is based on the structure and function of the brain. “As long as the brain is not prohibited from fulfilling its normal processes, learning will occur.” (fundarstanding.com) • I will use these theory to engage with my future students to provide a better learning tool for them

  6. Problem Solving February 2, 2012 • Today we discussed the six levels of Blooms Taxonomy • Inquiry based learning was discussed • Talked about the Thematic Lesson and Lesson Template • Reflection I Learned that problem solving is easier to learn because its in our every day life's.

  7. Thematic Unit 2-9-12 • During this week we work on our thematic unit • A thematic unit is content and a structure for organizing learning activities. Teaching themes is based on the curriculum.(http://www.creative-preschool-teaching-themes.com/thematic-unit.html) • In my future lesson planning I will use a thematic unit for the students to be able to develop skills and learn information as much as possible about the topic being studied.

Observation Week 2-14-2012 • This week we when out and observed a classroom • The observation was over how the teacher used technology in his/her daily lesson • What I learned from the observation is that I will use technology if available in my daily lesson as an extra tool to provide a better understanding to my future students.

Concept Mapping 2-21-12 • In lecture we talked about concept mapping in the classroom and communication tools • We created a concept map over the thematic unit we created, we use different links to make our own concept mapping like spicynodes.com, • We learned about TPACK which is for technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge • In my future classroom I will be using concept mapping for brainstorming there ideas when they are getting ready to write a paper.

  10. 2-28-2011/3-1-2012 • In class we talked about the communication tools in the classroom • We talked about a newsletter and why it was helpful to use • We also have to create a two page newsletter to inform the parents about up coming events.

Communication tools We learned there is many communication tools for the class room Like: email, handouts, cell phones and newsletter We created a classroom newsletter to inform parents about up coming events. In my future classroom I will create a weekly newsletter to inform the parents of any events happening in the school as well as in the classroom A newsletter will be my communication tool to invite the parents into our daily lessons

Grade book 3-6-12 • In lecture we talked about how a teacher could use spreadsheets to create a grade book or use it as a tool in there lesson plan • We have to create a grade book using excel on Micro soft office • In my future classroom I will incorporate the spreadsheet for my grade book and to track attendance

Video Editing tools 3-6-12 • Today we talked about video editing tools • We talked about movie making • We have to create a short video and upload it onto YouTube • I will use video editing in my future lesson plans to help the students better understand the material that was presenting and to let them have a little experience in video editing • It will also work as a hands on activity that will help the visual learners

Uno March 8, 2012 • Today in class we played a card game called UNO • We didn’t only play UNO for fun he needed to compare how UNO was related to education • We found that UNO is like education because there is rules we need to follow and there is a strategy in order to win the game • In my future classroom I will allow my students to play UNO just for them to see how its related to education.

  15. Field Experience March 12-March 16 • This week we will be getting together with our partners and going to teach our lessons • The lesson that Judy Vargas and I will be teaching is over George Washington for an 8th grade Social Studies Class in Mesa Middle School • Reflection • I think that doing this assignment will get me ready for when I start to teach, and I have a since on how to create my future lesson plans.
