  2. Who do CSBs serve? CSBs serve children, adolescents, and adults who have diagnoses of mental illness, addiction, developmental disabilities or combinations of the three.

  3. Mental Health Services CSBs provide services to individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental illnesses including Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, Major Depression, and Bipolar Disorder.

  4. What treatment do we provide?

  5. Evidence-Based Practices Motivational Interviewing Dialectical Behavior Therapy Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Assertive Community Treatment Moral Reconation Therapy and many others…

  6. CSBs employ a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. Who provides the services?

  7. Our staff includes: Psychiatrists Nurses: Advanced, Registered, and Licensed Licensed/certified clinicians: Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Certified Addiction Counselors Paraprofessional staff: Peer Specialists, Employment Specialists

  8. Where do we serve them? Clinics/Day Programs Schools/work Crisis Stabilization Units Emergency Rooms Medical offices Day Reporting Centers Probation offices Court Houses Client’s homes CSBs provide a wide array of services in various settings. Examples include:

  9. CSB services include:Clinic-Based Services Medical Services-Psychiatric and nursing Crisis evaluation and intervention Individual Therapy Group Therapy and Skills Training Family Therapy Medication Assistance

  10. CSB services include:Community-Based Services Addictive Disease Support Services Case Management Community Support Team Assertive Community Treatment

  11. CSB services include:Day Programs Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Intensive Treatment Program Mental Health Peer Supports Addictive Disease Peer Supports

  12. CSB services include: Crises Services Crisis Stabilization Units-inpatient units providing stabilization to those experiencing Mental Health crises or needing detoxification from substances. Average length of stay is 5 days.

  13. CSB services include: Wrap-Around Services Residential Services and Supports Homeless Services Supported Employment Services TANF Women’s Services Specialty Court Services

  14. Who does Advantage serve? Income: 97% of those served have a gross income of less than $22,800 Age: 16% of those served are under 18, 72% are between 19 and 55, and 12% are over 55

CIT training to officers in our area for over 15 years. • Services on-site at the Athens Day Reporting Center. • Primary provider to 7 Specialty Courts including 3 Drug Courts, 3 Mental Health/Treatment Courts, and one Family Dependency Treatment Court. Advantage’s Involvement with the Criminal Justice System

Recent agreement with Athens-Clarke County Police to ride along on calls involving behavioral health issues • Working with State Pardons and Paroles through the Re-Entry Housing Program to create a smooth transition for individuals with mental illness from incarceration back to the community Coming Soon:

Advantage’s Services to Homeless Individuals and Families Advantage Homeless Day Service Center The point of entry into services in Athens for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, this Center provides shower and laundry facilities, resettlement assistance and rapid re-housing, case management, a place to receive mail, and behavioral health treatment.

  18. Homeless Residential Services 96 Shelter Plus Care units in 5 counties Residential program for homeless men with co-occurring disorders who need assistance with skills of daily living

Coming Soon: Athens Resource Center and the Village • One-Stop shop for medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare; job assistance; showers/laundry • Daycare for families with children experiencing homelessness • Long-term housing for 24 families experiencing homelessness • Free rent for 50 years to the agencies providing the services
