Description Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy interns are some of the most underappreciated, disrespected, and overworked healthcare workers in the United States. For decades their stress, belittlement by the public, and fierce commitment to the community have been shrouded in secrecy - until now. Vials is the first comedy series about what it's like for these unsung heroes to fill vials for their sometimes vile customers. When the series pilot premiered on Amazon, TV critic David Hinckley of TV Worth Watching said: "It’s not completely unlike The Office, Superstore or a fistful of other workplace comedies, yet it has a tone of its own with a solid grasp of the fact that comedies need entertaining characters and a few actual ideas more than they need jokes and punchlines." The pilot currently has an audience score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4.3/5 stars on Amazon with a whopping 744 reviews. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints and apathy from producers due to their belief that there wasn't a large enough audience interested in pharmacists (even though the ratings and viewership numbers contradict that assertion), the remaining episodes were never shot. Now, the complete first season is available through Vials: The Screenplays. Welcome to Gateway Drug and Surgical, a local pharmacy run by the ornery pharmacist Rich who must contend with unruly customers, a possible corporate takeover, his rebellious daughter Lisa, the arrogant technician Joe, and Doug, the timid intern.
