Has been a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Recipient of the 2012 Ebony Appreciation “Pioneer” Award and the 2011 Ida B. NABJ Chapter of the Year • UFNABJ will be applying for the prestigious “NABJ Student Chapter of the Year” award, which will be handed out at the 2014 NABJ Convention in Boston. • One aspect of the application calls for (optional) member letters. While these are optional, the more letters we have from our members, the better our chances will be for winning the award. • Member letters do not need to be more than 100 words • They should be typed, double-spacedand include the member’s full nameand when they joined UFNABJ. • Please email all member letters to gatornabj@gmail.comby December 30th.
Treasurer’s Report • Concessions • We will be announcing the dates for Basketball concessions soon! • Our Treasurer has club polo shirts for those who ordered them. • We are currently taking orders for club “meme” shirts. • Tonight is the deadline to pay your dues!!!! Please see the Treasurer to pay your dues. • If you’re a graduating senior and have met your member requirements, please see the Treasurer to order your graduation cords.
