SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 OVERVIEW OF THE EVENT Soweto Youth Exposure It is an event that is focusing on bringing the strong networking and promotion channel to the youth of Soweto as to come together to showcase their individual talents in a form of music (disc jockey (DJS), singers (Hip Hop artists) and comedians) to those that are already popular in related industries

  3. SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 OBJECTIVE To unite the youth of Soweto . To introduce the basics of networking more especially in the entertainment and music. Mission To host an entertainment exposure event that will attracts large numbers of people from Soweto and beyond, To be a well established as the major contributor of unknown artists and networking for them lastly to host and event that will make difference in the community. Our vision It is to contribute to the long term relationship with Soweto youth in an entertainment industry in a form a bringing a continuous annual exposure and networking for them and in so doing achieve both local and international recognition from recording labels and sponsors to come and spot the talent in action.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 ORGANISERS OF THE EVENT The event will organised by Siyabangena Media, Josi-Du Entertainment, Coolafeela Events also partnering with few companies in conjunction with media partners, endorsers and major sponsors. Soweto Youth Exposure (SYE) is going to be held on the 13 September 2014 at Imbizo (Arena) at UJ Soweto campus. It is estimated to attract 3,500 - 4000 people(youth). Time 18:00 pm - 2:00 am.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 THE MAIN ACTIVITIES Main performance stage This is where we will feature a wide variety of performance from hip hop and Kwaito artists (local artists and popular artists) and comedians later on will have a Djing session where of the local Djs invited will be given enough time to do their thing as to entertain the crowd, indirectly marketing and promoting themselves

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 THE MAIN ACTIVITIES Food and Drinks Area A large area will be demarcated for the selling, serving and consumption of food and drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) With Beer garden included Sponsor Stalls This where the participating sponsor of the event will be given a space to show case their products/service or their brands to the target market.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 THE MAIN ACTIVITIES VIP hospitality This is where you will have a clear view of the entire event and all happenings in an exclusive place with first class facilities (bar service and catering) as well as comfortable seating and standing space for up to 120 people, This area will be used as the VIP hospitality room for the Soweto Youth Exposure.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS Our strategy will be to engage with the large TV, radio and print media owners and appoint one in each media category as a media partner on a trade exchange basis. This means the media partners will give the Soweto Youth Exposure air time and column for free, in return for the Soweto Youth Exposure will be giving them exclusive branding and other rights in the event. In this way the Soweto Youth exposure does not incur large advertising costs.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 TARGETED MARKETING CAMPAIGN The target audience is young people, artists and upwardly mobile residents of the locality where the Soweto Youth Exposure is staged, but also the wider community of Soweto and students from University of Johannesburg. To ensure the Soweto Youth Exposure receives the publicity necessary, a marketing and communications campaign covering the entire media spectrum will be implemented to meet the targeted objectives. Poster Campaign: Design, print, board-mounting and erection, selection of prime poster sites Leaflets/Flyers: Design, production and creative distribution campaign Newspapers: placement of advertising in the local newspaper Internet –social networks, sms advertising

  12. SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 TARGETED MARKETING CAMPAIGN All the marketing material will be distributed by 20 agents in targeted areas in Soweto and all over Johannesburg. We will also be promoting the event on local radio stations(Jozifm), television advertising(Soweto TV) and print media(All Soweto local newspapers) We will have some pre-event media release were all the sponsors will be announced. Some radio and/or television promotions will include ticket giveaways which will consist of a sponsor giving 100 tickets/prizes to listeners and fans.

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 BENEFITS OF SUPPORTING Your Company logo will be on any advertising materials such as: fliers, posters, billboards, magazines, Newspapers etc. You will get marketing benefits via television and radio promotions Multiple Mentioning of all sponsors, endorsers and media partners by the MC Based on the research we have conducted on social media that is twitter and Facebook, with the artists who are going to perform we got more than 332222 people on social media. .

  14. SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 BENEFITS OF SUPPORTING Some of the dj’s who will be at the event are on Metro fm, Jozifm and Soweto tv. All these artists will be marketing the event on their slots on radio and their social networks. Creating awareness by branding in all the strategic areas including having outdoor banners placed on the road, parking lots leading towards the venue so as to maximize visibility

SOWETO YOUTH EXPOSURE 2014 BENEFITS OF SUPPORTING Maintaining Higher visibility by having banners across all the entrance gates at UJ and on lanyards/name tags being worn by the security guards, marshals, ticket booth personnel and organizers of the event. Your logo will on the tickets that we will be selling through our agents and an advertisement on computicket website and even on advertisements in local magazines. One huge advertisement in our national newspapers with your logo being on the advert

Will create Facebook page, twitter to mention a few because almost majority of the youth people are exposed to the sites.
