  2. Activity One • You are the president of the Los Angeles branch of First Choice Travel. You are interested in arranging a vacation travel package to Cancun, Mexico. Connect to the Internet and search for information on Cancun. (One possible site: www.cancun.com) PTTE 111

  3. Using PowerPoint, create a presentation about Cancun that contains the following: • Title slide containing the company name, First Choice Travel, and the subtitle Vacationing in Cancun • Slide containing the names of at least three major airlines that travel to Cancun • Slide containing the names of at least four hotels or resorts in Cancun • Slide containing the names of at least four restaurants in Cancun • Slide containing at least four activities in Cancun PTTE 111

  5. Activity Two • Formatting Presentation • Apply a Sans Serif Font to each heading and title of your presentation • Apply a Serif Font to all the content of your presentation • Bold each heading/title • Italicize every sub-heading • Use the Format Painter to change your headings/titles PTTE 111

  6. Formatting Continued… • Insert a ClipArt or picture on each slide • Recolor ClipArt to follow your slide design color scheme • Size and move the image so it is positioned attractively on the slide • Apply an animation scheme to each slide of your presentation PTTE 111

Activity Three • Insert a New Slide after slide 3 with more info about a specific hotel/resort • Insert a title using WordArt • Format the color and shape to your presentation theme • Insert 3 Basic Shapes from AutoShapes • Provide three facts about the hotel/resort (one fact in each shape) • Connect the 3 shapes using Connector Lines PTTE 111

Slide Master • Select Slide 2 • Create a Slide Master: • Hold down Shift Key • Click Normal View • Release Shift Key • Edit the Master title style • Change color, font, bold and italicize • Edit the Master text • Change color, font etc. • Change the bullets • Write your last name in the footer PTTE 111

  9. Last but not least… • Create a hyperlink to the hotel/resort homepage from slide 4 • Create Action Buttons that hyperlink to the next slide- including the last slide!!! PTTE 111

  10. Activity 4 • Select slides 3-5 and apply a new design • Add a New Slide • Customize and format a table providing the airlines and airline rates information from slide 2 PTTE 111

Search for Sound Clips • Make slide 6 ( Your new slide) the active slide • Click Insert, point to Movies and Sound, and then click Sound form Clip Organizer. • Click the Clip art on Office Online hyperlink located toward the bottom of the Clip Art task pane • At the Microsoft Office Online Web site, change the Search option to Sounds, type songs, and then press Enter. When a list of songs displays, download a song that interests you and then insert the song in slide 6. PTTE 111

  12. Timings • Rehearse your presentation • Set the timings for your presentation • Click Yes at the message asking if you want to record the new slide timings • Set up the slide show to run continuously. PTTE 111

  13. Finally… • Save and Publish your presentation as a website • Use the directions in your text Have a fabulous Thanksgiving Break!!! PTTE 111
