What is a rectangle? • A rectangle is a parallelogram with four right angles. • Is a square a rectangle? • When is a rectangle not a square?
Recall the biconditional If and only if • A polygon is a triangle if and only if the angle sum is 180°. • Is the same as saying two things at once: • If a polygon has an angle sum of 180°, then it is a triangle. • If a polygon is a triangle then it has an angle sum of 180°.
