HISTORICAL SPEED-DATING MEDICINE AND HEALTH THROUGH TIME
DATES AND TREATMENTS • You have a DATE sheet or a TREATMENT sheet. Read it carefully. • DATEs stay at their numbered desks. • TREATMENTs move round each time. • Each DATE will have one minute with each TREATMENT. • Your task is to find the perfect match.
FINDING THE PERFECT MATCH • You have one minute only to chat to/up each potential match. • You may not exchange sheets – you have to talk to each other. • Briefly tell your partner about your DATE or TREATMENT. • Quickly discuss and decide how well you match up and record a score…
THE PERFECT MATCH? • If you decide DATE and TREATMENT do not match at all, record score of 0/10. • If they match a bit, score something out of ten. • If you have found the (or a) perfect match, score 10/10. • Whatever you decide, jot down your reasons – you will be asked for them later.
HOW TO DECIDE • You will have to think (quickly) about how well the DATE and TREATMENT match. • Could they, do they, really belong together? Look for clues in the information given on the sheets. • Remember you only have a minute and you MUST jot down your score and reasons every time.
GOOD LUCK • IN TRYING TO FIND THAT PERFECT MATCH!!
