What is CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)? • CSR is an initiative by businesses to invest some part of their profits in areas such as education, poverty alleviation programs, upliftment of poor and downtrodden, etc. Corporate Social Responsibility in India has been made mandatory for businesses through an amendment to Companies Act, 2013. • According to the new rule, companies have to spend 2% of their average net profits of three years on CSR. It is an effective tool to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations such as poverty eradication, environment protection, peace, and prosperity, etc. WWW.CSRL.IN

  3. What CSRL Does? • CSRL is a registered civil society in Delhi that works towards providing opportunities to the underprivileged but talented students. It makes these students visible to corporates and provides ways through which corporates can adopt the expense needed. • CSRL works as a bridge between corporates and the ones who deserve its benefits.
