Progress on each project Diagnosis Prevention Empowerment
On diagnosis In 100 days we will have…. • Commission campaign of Breathing Festivals in public places between now and March 20th • Pharmacists monitor all people not taking preventative inhaler; peak flow; patients taking too much reliever inhaler; and tell primary care, surgeries then talk to patients directly • Media campaign coupled with #Scarfie continuing through winter linked with existing groups What it will look like…. • 10% of people tested identified with a respiratory condition previously unknown, who are smokers or ex-smokers
On prevention we said… In 100 days we will have…. • #Scarfie (Asthma UK campaign) • Clear referral route for healthcare professionals • Education around self-care – children, young people and adults, general population What it will look like…. • All wearing a scarf, people knowledgeable on condition and effects of pollution, new community groups/social prescribing, everyone is a member of a self-help group @SocialEnt_UK @IVAR_UK #BHPselfcare
On empowerment In 100 days we will have…. • Service user-led co-production forum – STP wide • Self-care literature review (local and national) • Flare up plan (CCG) discover what it is and does it work for patients?
