Student of the Week • All students get an opportunity • Students present items to help us learn more about them • Students make their own bulletin board/poster • Parents write a letter to their child to be read to the class
Mindful Moments • Scheduled time to slow our thinking and relax our brains • Used to lessen anxiety and stress • Simple breathing and stretching exercises • Promotes mindfulness (the ability to think through decisions and emotions)

Report Cards & Conferences • Feel free to voice concerns at any point in the year • Use report cards and conferences as tools to see child’s growth • Report cards are standards based • Know that on a report card a “3” denotes that your student is where they should be by the end of the year
Discipline Policy • Positive Behavior management system within the classroom • Work to help student make good choices both in class, in special area classes, on the bus, in the lunchroom, and at home
Daily Attendance • Absences and Tardiness • Please write notes to the office for any missed classroom time • Your child will be responsible for catching up on all missed work
Parties & Volunteers • Be allergy aware! • Be sure to sign up for parties & events! • Don’t bring other family members… • Communicate when you want to come into the classroom!
