My personal introduction June 23, 2003 By: Lileth Coke
All About Me • I was born in Jamaica West Indies. • I live and work in New York. • I am married and have two beautiful teenage girls. • I teach at one of the Adventist schools in the local conference.
Things I like • I have many hobbies one of them is traveling. • Among the places that I have visited one country stands out in my memory – Cayman Island. • It is a beautiful country known for its seven miles long white sand beach. • A country that you could consider when selecting places for vacation or retirement.
My Personal Philosophy • I have always had a desire to develop academically to my greatest potential. Such development has been somewhat slow but the desire has always been kept alive, waiting for the opportune moment. I love knowledge because it dispels ignorance, enlightens the mind and empowers one’s being. I have chosen teaching as a career because I believe that this is a great way to contribute to the development of the society. In working with children I have the opportunity to shape their minds challenge their intellect, and assist in forming their character.
My Beliefs • As a Christian I believe that the world and all its essentials were created by God I also believe that people in the world are surrounded by evil which has its origin in Lucifer according to the Biblical narrative. I also believe that life, as we know it has many components one of which is a constant battle between good and evil or right and wrong.
My Values • In addition to the high regard I have for knowledge is the great value, which I place on life. I think life is like a roller coaster sometimes you’re up sometimes you’re down, sometimes it seem so scary you wish you could quit and other times its so enjoyable you wish it would never stop. I also believe that life is sacred and should be protected and lived in accordance to the revealed will of God. I believe, as the Bible states that at the end of man’s life he will have to give an account for how he lives his life.
