Cost price of 1 dozen oranges Rs 30 Cost of 10 dozen oranges 10 x 30=300 1dozen oranges sold at Rs 42 6 dozen oranges sold for 6 x 42=252 Remaining oranges 10 – 6 =4 dozen Selling price of these 4 dozen oranges 4 x 28 = 112 Total selling price of 10 dozen oranges =252 +112 =364 As a selling price is greater than the cost price ,Gulabbhai has made a profit Profit = Selling Price – Cost Price = 364 - 300 = 64 There is a profit of Rs 64
