  3. SER is used to: • express a trait or characteristic that does not change physical-how one looks personality-how one is • tell where someone or something is from • tell of things that do not change-long lasting

  4. yo estoy tú estás él está ella está usted está nosotros estamos nosotras estamos ellos están ellas están ustedes están ESTAR

  5. ESTAR • is used to: • express a temporary state or condition feeling • express where someone or something is located location • Expresses both temporary and permanent location

  6. SER or ESTAR • Is the idea talking about something that is long lasting or permanent or is the idea something that can easily change? • Ask yourself questions that will help you decide which verb to use. • Study your notes that you have now taken so that you are prepared for the quiz and future test. • Remember that they will use these verbs freely throughout the rest of the book and beyond.
