  1. What are the Effects of E-Waste on the Environment and Human Health? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ E-waste is electronic waste created when electronic devices become unfit from initially manufactured. For instance, computers, mobiles, laptops, scanners, washing machines, TVs, when they are not in a condition to use anymore, become e-waste. Rapid technology advancements replace electronic devices with newer models generating e- waste faster. But unfortunately, it is hazardous to the environment and human health. So, let’s understand how it affects us. Impact on soil If e-waste is dumped in the ground, it has damaging effects on the soil. As e-waste collapses, it releases toxic metals, such as lead, arsenic, cadmium, and so on. Eventually, these toxins drain into the soil, impacting plants and trees. Furthermore, these toxins can enter humans through food from these plants and trees. That can lead to congenital disabilities or other health complications. Hence, recycling e-waste is essential in the era of electronic devices. You can contact the Recycling Hub for industrial e waste recycling in Ahmedabad. Page 1

  2. Impact in water E-waste disposed of inadequately by individuals and businesses drives toxins in groundwater. This water moves to lakes, ponds, or streams. Animals rely upon these harmful water channels. The toxins make them sick and can cause an imbalance in the planetary ecosystem. Additionally, lots of residents also depend on this groundwater. Hence, toxins may also affect humans. Impact in air If e-waste is disposed of in a landfill and later burned by incinerators on-site, it releases hydrocarbons in the air, which is harmful to humans, animals, and birds. In addition, hydrocarbons may contribute to the greenhouse effect, leading to global warming. To conclude, e-waste management is challenging, looking at the amount of e-waste generated now and then. It is a huge health issue for humans and creatures that needs to be addressed well. Recycling Hub is the leading GPCB Authorized waste management company in India, ensuring the safe disposal of E-waste as per PCB guidelines.
