China’s Area • Land: 9,569,901 sq km • Water: 27,060 sq km • Total: 9,596,961 sq km • Country Comparison to the World: 4
Imports & Exports In Canada • Here is a short list of Canadian imports and exports. Vehicle parts, Automobiles, Industrial Machines, Plastics, Computer Accessories, Iron, and Steel Mill Products.
Imports & Exports In America • Here is another short list of imports and exports in America. Gum, lead, food, iron, cereals, fertilizers, automobiles, and rubber.
Imports & Exports In China • Here is the final short list of imports and exports in China. Clothing, cell phones, oil, medical equipment, metal, motor vehicles, and radios.
Defining Terms • Now, I will define imports and exports. • Import: importing is the selling of goods sent from another country. • Export: exporting is the sending of goods from one country to another to be sold.
Canada’s Major Trading Partners • Canada’s major trading partners are :America, China, United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, South Korea, Vietnam, France, Algeria, and Norway.
Canada’s Most Valuable Export Items • Canada’s most valuable export items include: crude oil, natural gas, coal, gold, and maple syrup.
The Leading Producer Of What Minerals? • Canada is the leading producer of uranium, nickel, zinc, gold, iron, and copper.
Similar Data • My bar graph and pie chart represent the same data but differently, and I will explain the difference. • My bar graph displays the data in the way of money, but my pie chart displays the data in the way of the share or percentage.
What Does OECD Stand For? • OECD stands for Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development.
Time • How many time zones are there between Vancouver B.C. and Halifax N.S.? • There are 5. • If it is 12 noon in Vancouver, what time is it in Halifax? • It would be 5:00pm. • How many time zones are there between Toronto and the United Kingdom? • There are 6. • At 8:00am in Toronto, what time is it in London, England? • It would be 1:00pm • If you are travelling from Toronto to Germany will you lose or gain time? • You would gain time. • If you are travelling from Toronto to Chile will you lose or gain time? • You would gain time.
Time Pt 2 In what ways do the time differences around the world affect trade and business? Shipping goods would be affected because there would be no set time for sending goods between countries.
