Converting to Ventus Our purpose and number one goal is to ensure your Ventus conversion is a success. To this end, we have thoughtfully streamlined and simplified the conversion process. The following is the general process we follow for Ventus Conversions. TIMELINE: PREPARING FOR VENTUS 1.) Confirm a GO LIVE Date: Call Linda Bishop to schedule, phone 800 476 0094 or lindab@vertical-market.com . 2.) Hardware/Software Requirements: We will provide a list of the Hardware/Software requirements. Daniel will call you to check your hardware/software to verify that everything is ready for Ventus Software.
Converting to Ventus A MONTH of PRACTICE 4.) 4-6 weeks before you GO LIVE with Ventus: Four to six weeks before you GO LIVE we will do a data conversion so you can practice using the software. We recommend practicing with the software for a month. We will supply two check lists: one to assist with data verification and the second checklist will be used to practice typical software functions. Also at this time, we schedule a training WebEx to go over the differences between VMS Software & Ventus Software, and we teach processing functions in Ventus. This is usually a 2-3 hr. WebEx. During the practice period, please call us immediately if you discover any issues or have questions about software usage. During this time your calls will be taken by the Ventus Conversion Team and given the highest priority.
Converting to Ventus GOING LIVE with VENTUS SOFTWARE 5.) The week before you GO LIVE with Ventus: On Thursday and Friday, we will do the final data conversion and return the converted data to you on Monday when you GO LIVE. You will once again verify data is correct using the check list and a Ventus trainer will be onsite to assist you and provide further training. Note: We get your data for the final conversion on Wednesday close, we convert and verify the data on Thursday and Friday. The data base is uploaded and installed on your server and ready Monday morning when you GO LIVE. If you process transactions after Wednesday close, the transactions can be entered manually after you GO LIVE with Ventus on Monday.
Converting to Ventus AFTER YOU GO LIVE with VENTUS 6.) Week 1 and 2: Support calls will be given the highest priority and handled by the Conversion Team during the first two weeks after GOING LIVE with Ventus. 7.) Next 90 days : Support calls will be given the highest priority for the next 90 days and handled by our regular support team. 8.) During the entire process, Work Order requests will be given the highest priority in programming.
