Day 2: Wednesday, October 5 San Isidro and Miraflores Both districts of Lima, contiguous, are characterized by their modern constructions, beautiful parks, small and big plazas, offering the best security and protection to their visitors. These are the most cosmopolitan areas in Lima. Miraflores is Lima's modern suburb with good views over the sea. It gets a bit more lively in the evenings, and the place has thriving night-life San Isidro is Lima's garden district, as it stands out for its green zones and exclusive residential areas. Visited principally for its vast Inca ruins set high up on the mountain top, this small slightly backward village has grown in popularity in recent years for its daily artisan and food market Pisac Village

  28. Day 5: Saturday, October 8 National Geographic magazine presented Machu Picchu on the cover of its April issue to celebration the 100 year anniversary of Hiram Bingham's rediscovery.

In 1911 Hiram Bingham, a pre-historian with a love of exotic destinations, set out to Peru in search of the legendary city of Vilcabamba, capital city of the last Inca ruler, Manco Inca.With a combination of doggedness and good fortune he stumbled on the perfectly preserved ruins of Machu Picchu, perched on a cloud-capped ledge 2000 feet above the torrent of the Urumbamba River.The buildings were of white granite, exquisitely carved blocks each higher than a man. Bingham had not discovered Vilcabamba, but he had nevertheless made an astonishing discovery. Book Written in 1948

We warmly recommend you to visit this place, especially if you're a photographer. The Incas have been extracting salt here hundreds of years ago using the same technique.
