What the District Governor can do to assist your Club and you. • The district governor is an RI officer and has had the training and has the information to pass on to you • Is able to give focus on important Rotary issues • Help with support for weak and struggling clubs • Motivate Rotarians to participate • Recognise outstanding contributions of members

What the District Governor expects from the President in return • Try to achieve the goals in the Presidential Citation • Be as organised as you can and organise the members in your club • Make sure plans are in place with appropriate priorities • Be responsive to the district, membership returns etc • Ensure that RI and District dues are paid on time • Have a good time • Don’t sweat the small stuff, delegate

The DG requirements when he visits your Club. • Wants to meet with your board to ensure the club has plans for the year that align with the priorities RI and the district • Get all the membership along to the DG’S visit Horary and past members • Don’t arrange a speaker for the night and allow at least 30 minutes for the DG to speak • Don’t ask the DG to pay • Ask the DG to help with anything, presentations to the deserving people in the community or membership • Make sure you make the DG welcome. With 40 clubs to visit at least once during the year it is disappointing and embarrassing when one is not welcome
